Beat the Bots!

You're the marketing strategist for a TV brand. Your job is three quick strategy calls: Products, Price and Promotion. Can you beat the AI bots?

How to read the map below It's a perceptual map — a picture of the TV market. Every TV sits at a point based on two things: its price (left = budget, right → premium) and its screen size (bottom = small, top → larger). The clusters of small symbols are groups of customers — the segments — scattered around the price and size they want. Each segment has its own color and symbol (× Dorm & Renters, + Family, Home Theater). The solid shapes are your products.

Round 1 of 3 · Products

Your company currently markets 2 TVs to capture three segments: CineMax is doing well in the Home Theater segment, and Pixel-Lite has mediocre performance across Family and Dorms & Renters. The Aurora R&D project has been completed, it's up to you whether to launch it or not. Choose which product(s) you want to sell below. The faint hollow dot marks each product's build cost — the closer it sits to a segment, the less room there is to profit there. You'll set each product's price on the next step.

Round 2 of 3 · Price

Adjust the slider(s) below to set each product's price. As you drag, watch its marker move left or right across the map relative to the customer segments. Aim for the price the product's segment expects — priced too low reads as cheap, too high prices you out.

Round 3 of 3 · Promotion

Split your ad spend. The numbers are each product's current awareness by segment — spend builds awareness, and a fresh launch starts from near zero.

💡Awareness on a known product plateaus — extra spend does little. A new launch has almost none, so it has the most to gain.
